Dear Members of the Hopewell Valley Regional School District and Greater Mercer County School Community, We cordially invite you to join us for an informational panel discussion with local pediatricians Dr. Helmrich, Dr. Palsky, and Dr. Wenger. During this discussion, they will answer some frequently asked questions about COVID-19 safety protocols and recommendations for the reopening of schools. We will also be joined by a representative from the local health departments and a nurse practitioner. This discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Vicky Pilitsis, Director of Curriculum & Instruction. We look forward to this very important discussion as we plan and set policies for the return of our students and staff this September. HVRSD was excited to bring this pivotal Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month presentation which emphasized both the contributions of AAPI citizens in the United States and the need for AAPI studies to be taught in schools in New Jersey. The video, titled Make Us Visible NJ, facilitated a conversation with activists and scholars from some of our local universities.
