ATTENTION HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS
BOARD OF EDUCATION VACANCY
The public of Hopewell Township is hereby notified that a vacancy exists in the membership of the Hopewell Valley Regional Board of Education. The Board of Education is seeking qualified candidates for membership to the Board. The Board, within the powers delegated to it by law, is the policy-making legislative branch of the School District.
This term will run until December 31, 2024. The remaining year of the position will be placed on the ballot at the November 2024 General Election.
Qualifications:
A citizen of the United States of America
At least 18 years of age
Able to read and write
A resident of the Hopewell Township municipality for at least (1) year preceding the date of appointment
Not directly/indirectly involved in a contract with, or a claim against the Board
Registered to vote in the District
Not disqualified as a voter pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:4-1
Has not been disqualified due to the conviction of a crime or offense listed in
N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1
Applicants must be available for attendance at a special meeting scheduled for July 31, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., at the District Administration Building for the purpose of an interview before the Board of Education. Any qualified Hopewell Township resident interested in serving the children of our school district should submit a letter of interest and personal resume to:

Letters of interest and accompanying personal resumes will be accepted through Monday, July 22, 2024, until 4 p.m. While the Board of Education will review all applications, they reserve the right to select those who will move forward to the interview process.
