Dear Hopewell Valley Families,
Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated in America from September 15th through October 15th. As we have done in the past for other observances during a school year, the district will be recognizing individuals who have made contributions to our society and the nation’s history. Additionally, in our efforts to partner with families in the work that we do to educate the youth of our community, we are again sharing links and resources to help facilitate conversations at home, should you be interested. An introductory video about the history and significance of Hispanic Heritage Month can be found HERE. You can also find a number of resources on the subject using this LINK and this LINK.
Thank you for your partnership in educating the children of Hopewell Valley.
Sincerely,
Mike Emmich - Timberlane Middle School Vice Principal
Darren Lewan - Supervisor K-12 Social Studies, Wellness, & Special Projects
Dr. Vicky Pilitsis - Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction
