Counseling Services Misson Statement
At Stonybrook Elementary School, the goal of the school counselor is to help students develop the foundations of self-reliance, resiliency, and responsibility. With a comprehensive, developmental counseling program, counselors work as a team with school, parents, and community to create a caring atmosphere in which children's needs are met through prevention, early identification and intervention. By being available to assist students with their academic, social-emotional, and life skills development, school counselors support the mission of the Hopewell Valley Regional School District.
